Chariteez Fundraising

     The Chariteez portion of PW Apparel, is our charitable fundraising sector. We see that some of our customers, mostly teenagers and young adults, aren't motivated to donate to a charitable organization without some direct incentive. We step in by offering t-shirts at the normal market price, but guarantee that a portion gets donated to the selected charity. PW Apparel has went as far as creating a company policy that says that the greater of either $5 or 50% profit of a 'Chariteez' order must be donated to charity.

    Along with our October fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, we also support year round initiatives to spread good will. We print shirts at cost for groups to use as fundraisers for their approved event. We also are preparing to start a scholarship fund, to help those with a record of voluntary community service reach their dreams by attending college.

Non-Profit Status

     We are not legally set up as a non-profit organization. Because 'Chariteez' is a fairly new venture for PW Apparel, it is funded by its own profits. In order for us to build a marketing budget to get the word out about our projects, then we must retain a portion of our revenue to be used at a later time by the company. We do try to make distinct partnerships with our selected charities though, so that our customers can be assured that the portion set aside for the charity actually gets to them. We have a very ethical policy when it comes to dispersing charitable funds.
